Nina Zhivanevskaya
The Olympic Games, or Olympics, is an international multi-sport event taking place every four years which comprises of summer and winter games. Though the first ancient games were held in 776 B.C, the modern games started from 1896.The unity of the 5 continents is shown on the Olympic flag by five colorful intertwined rings of red, blue, green, yellow, and black, created by Baron Pierre de Coubertin to represent at least one color of the participating country’s national flag. Nina Aleksandrovna Zhivanevskaya was born on 24 June 1977 in Mascow and is a backstroke swimmer from Russia, who swims for Spain since 1999 after she married a Spaniard. She won a bronze medal for the Unified Team at the 1992 Summer Olympics in the 4 by 100meter Medley Relay. After the Atlanta Games in 1996 she was banned from competition after the detected use of a banned substance. Zhivanevskaya returned in competition in 1999 and won the bronze medal in the 100meter backstroke a year later at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. Nina Aleksandrovna with all her dedication and devotion in her play achieved many goals in her overall athletic career. She had the ability of defeating the opponent easily by just giving some extra hard work and efforts. She never lost hope in herself and always fought hard to achieve her goal.
