The Olympic Games or Olympics is an international multi-sport event taking place every four years which comprises of summer and winter games. Though the first ancient games were held in 776 B.C, the modern games started from 1896. The unity of the 5 continents is shown on the Olympic flag by five colorful intertwined rings of red, blue, green, yellow, and black, created by Baron Pierre de Coubertin to represent atleast one color of the participating country’s national flag. Natalya Aleksandrovna Pechohkina was born on July 15, 1946 and is a Soviet athlete who competed in the Olympic events. She participated mainly in the 400 meter event. Under maiden name Burda, she began athletics in Saratov and was initially coached by Kolokolov. She holds the honor as the Master of Sports of the USSR, Union of Soviet Socialist Republics’ International Class in 1967. She competed for the USSR in the 1968 Summer Olympics held in Mexico City in the 400 meters event where she won the bronze medal. Pechohkina earned a reputed position for herself and her nation in the Olympic history by compiling a bronze medal. She strived hard, regardless of the painstaking conditions in her overall athletic career. She is not only a potential player but an athlete with unique features and tremendous patriotism for her nation.
