Mirela Manjani

Mirela Manjani was born December 21, 1976 in Durres, Albania. She is a Greek citizen, though Albanian ethnic, javelin thrower. She won a silver medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics with a personal best of 67.51meter and a bronze medal in 2004. She is also a European champion and double world champion.
Born in Albania, she married Greek weightlifter George Tzelili in 1997 and thereby became a Greek citizen. She was known as Mirela Manjani-Tzelili until divorcing her husband in 2002.
Mirela Manjani with all her dedication and devotion in her play achieved many goals in her overall athletic career. She had the ability of defeating the opponent easily by just giving some extra hard work and efforts. She never lost hope in herself and always fought hard to achieve her goal.
