Gergely Kulcsar
The Olympic Games, or Olympics, is an international multi-sport event taking place every four years which comprises of summer and winter games. Though the first ancient games were held in 776 B.C, the modern games started from 1896 and were held every four years except in 1916, 1940 and 1944 due to the World Wars. The unity of the 5 continents is shown on the Olympic flag by five colorful intertwined rings of red, blue, green, yellow, and black, created by Baron Pierre de Coubertin to represent atleast one color of the participating country’s national flag. Gergely Kulcsar was born on March 10, 1934 and is a retired Hungarian athlete who competed in javelin throw. He won two Olympic bronze medals and one silver medal. He won silver medal in 1964 Tokyo and bronze medal in 1960 in Rome in Javelin. He also won bronze medal in 1968 in Mexico City.
He is a player known for his mental toughness owing to which many of his famous matches went the distance. His superior approach and dedication to the game made him stand out from the crowd.
