The Olympic Games, or Olympics, is an international multi-sport event taking place every four years which comprises of summer and winter games. Daniela Costian was born on June 30, 1965. She is a former Olympic discus throw bronze medalist. She was born in Braila, Romania, but became an Australian citizen in 1990. She competed in the discus contest at the 1992 Summer Olympics and won the gold medal. Costian won a silver medal at the 1993 World Championships in Athletics. Her personal best throw reached a distance of 73.84 meter. Set in 1988, it was a Romanian record. Her best result achieved for Australia was 68.72 metres in 1994. This is the current Oceania record. She is a player known for her mental toughness owing to which many of her famous matches went the distance. Her superior approach and dedication to the game made her stand out from the crowd.
