Johanna Sjoberg was born on March 8, 1978 in Bromolla. She is a former international topswimmer from Sweden, who won her first medal in 1997 by the European Swimming Championships in Sevilla: a bronze on the 100 Butterfly. Johanna Sjoberg’s top performances include in 1994, LC World Championships 13th 50 meters free, in 1995, and SC World Championships seventh in 100 meter butterfly, third in 4 by 100 meter free relay, fourth 4 by 100 meter medley relay, in 1996, Olympic Games ninth in 100 meter butterfly, fifth in 4 by 100 meters free relay. In 2000, Olympic Games tenth in 100 meter butterfly, 3rd in 4 by 100 meters free relay, 10th in 4 by 100 meters medley relay, LC European Championships 3rd in 100 meters butterfly, 4th in 50 meters butterfly, 1st in 4 by 100 meters free relay, 1st in 4 by 100 meters Medley relay, 6th in 4 by 200 meters free relay, SC World Championships 2nd in 100 meters butterfly, 4th in 50 meters butterfly, 1st in 4 by 100 meters free relay, 1st in 4 by 100 meters medley relay, 4th in 4 by 200 meters free relay, SC European Championships 2nd in 100 meters free, 2nd in 100 meters butterfly, 3rd in 50 meters butterfly, 1st in 4 by 50 meters free relay and 1st in 4 by 50 meters medley relay. Johanna Sjoberg, with all her dedication and devotion in her play achieved many goals in her overall athletic career. She had the ability of defeating the opponent easily by just giving some extra hard work and efforts. She never lost hope in herself and always fought hard to achieve her goal. She is still remembered as one of the best athletes in the history of Olympics.
