Helen Resor was born on October 18, 1985 in Greenwich, Connecticut. She is an American ice hockey player. She won a bronze medal at the 2006 Winter Olympics. Her height is 5 foot 10 inches. She played in defense position. Her nickname is Hel, Razor
 
She scored a game tying goal on a penalty shot in Yale’s first playoff victory. Ended her first year at Yale ranked ninth in the nation for defensemen and 16th in rookies averaging 0.75 points per game in 2005. She finished seventh among the Bulldogs in 18 points even though missing the first eight games with an injury in 2005. Led Noble and Greenough high school hockey team to a 25-0-3 season her senior year in 2004. She skated with the 2003 USA Hockey National Champion Assabet Valley girls’ team.
 
Resor was in Lake Placid training with the national hockey team before the team went to Sweden. Thinking she was only there to train and help the team prepare for the World Championships, Resor didn’t bring along her passport. Called into coach Ben Smith’s office before the team left, he told her to pack her bags, she’s on the team roster and head to Sweden.
