The Olympic Games, or Olympics, is an international multi-sport event taking place every four years which comprises of summer and winter games. Though the first ancient games were held in 776 B.C, the modern games started from 1896.The unity of the 5 continents is shown on the Olympic flag by five colorful intertwined rings of red, blue, green, yellow, and black, created by Baron Pierre de Coubertin to represent atleast one color of the participating country’s national flag.
 
Andrian Dushev, a Bulgarian canoer, was born on the 6th of  June 1970.  He is a former Olympic, World and European medallist. A Republican champion many times during his career he was first called up to the national team of Bulgaria in 1989. In the same year he became a consultant at the Levsky, a Canoe and Kayak Sofia Sports Club.
 
In 1989, at the World Championships in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, in the K4 class for 500 meter event he came 3rd  to win the bronze medal and 4th in the K2 class, for the 500,1000 and 10000 meter events. In the 1993 World Cup, he came 2nd with 340 points, the fastest time of 200 meter in the ICF, International Canoe Federation, list. At the 1996 Summer Olympics held in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, in the K2 class, for the 1000 meter event he was placed 3rd to win the Bronze medal and 8th in the K2 class, for the 500 meter.
 
In 1997, at the European Championships in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, in the K2 class for the 1000 meter, he came 3rd for the bronze medal and 8th for the K2 class in the 500 meters. In the 1999 European Championships in Zagreb, Croatia for the K4 class, 500 and 1000 meters, he came 2nd for the silver medal and 7th for the K4, 200 meters. In the 2000 European Championships in Poznan, Poland, for the K4 class, for the 1000 meters, he came 3rd for the bronze medal.
 
Between 1989 and 2000 Dushev was an ever-present member of the Bulgarian four-man kayak, K4, crew at European and World Championships. He was named as one of the 10 best kayak sprinters of Bulgaria of the 20th century. He has received many awards from the President of the Republic of Bulgaria and is a winner of a medal for Olympic service awarded by the Bulgarian Olympic Committee.
